Tavistock Development Company announced that it has named Columbus, Ohio-based Steiner + Associates as its retail planning, leasing and development services partner for the Lake Nona Town Center in Orlando, Florida. The next phases of the town center master plan will be unveiled at the 2016 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) RECon convention in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 22-25 at the Steiner booth #C1124.
Developed by Tavistock, the 100-acre Lake Nona Town Center will serve as the defining anchor and amenity for the 11-square-mile, master-designed Lake Nona community and the greater Orlando region, featuring more than 3.8 million square feet at build out. Initial phases of Lake Nona Town Center will feature a thoughtful collection of more than 1 million square feet of retail, restaurant, entertainment, office and hospitality uses.

The open-air project will be accessed by the region’s most efficient and robust transportation infrastructure including three interchanges off SR-417, Orlando’s eastern beltway serving residential communities and Walt Disney World. Super-regional transportation includes Orlando International Airport and the planned All Aboard Florida high-speed train, both located adjacent to Lake Nona.
The first phase of the Lake Nona Town Center opened in January 2016 with an 85,000 square foot office building, two hotels (a Marriott Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott), 16,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and a multi-level parking structure. The five story central parking structure features two visual and interactive landmarks, the six-story Beacon and the Code Wall.
