As Chief Medical Officer of Tavistock Development Company, Ally Silverton oversees strategy and engagement for seminal projects throughout Lake Nona, Tavistock’s visionary master-planned community.

In her role, Ally manages the integration between Lake Nona’s full range of medical facilities and community health and well-being programs. She serves on the Medical Advisory Council for the Lake Nona Performance Club, a leading edge 127,000 medically integrated sports, performance, and rehabilitation center helping individuals and organizations perform at their peak.

Additionally, Ally oversees the Lake Nona Impact Forum focused on health innovation, and the Lake Nona Life Project, the community’s longitudinal health study. Ally also serves on the Board of the Lake Nona Research Council, helping to stimulate collaboration and innovation within Lake Nona’s globally recognized Health and Life Science hub. Ally’s expertise allows Lake Nona to remain at the forefront of predictive and preventive care, benefiting a large community.

In addition to her role with Tavistock, Ally is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, where she educates the next generation of medical students and residents. Prior to joining Tavistock, Ally served as a board-certified academic hospitalist at University Medical Center in New Orleans and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta while publishing peer-reviewed research in national journals.

Ally received her undergraduate degree in Biology and a Certificate in Global Health, from Duke University. She then went on to receive her MD from Emory University School of Medicine along with a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at New York University (NYU) where she trained at NYU Langone Medical Center, the Manhattan VA Medical Center, and Bellevue Hospital.
