As Chief Financial Officer of Tavistock Development Company, Dan Byrnes oversees the investment strategy, underwriting and capital placement for real estate development projects, operating assets and other business verticals throughout the Tavistock portfolio, including the large-scale, master-planned communities of Lake Nona and Sunbridge in Central Florida and Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.
In his role, Dan is responsible for managing several billion dollars in transaction volume, including acquisitions, dispositions, development and financing of real estate investments for Tavistock’s diverse portfolio of assets that includes residential, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure and industrial projects.
Prior to joining Tavistock, Dan gained diverse experiences throughout his career, including the development of build-to-suit projects in Central Florida, financing investments across the southeast US, serving as part of the national distressed assets team for CapitalSource Bank, as well as consulting with a variety of companies such as DDR (now Site Centers, NYSE: SITE) and private equity firms.
He has served in a leadership capacity for multiple organizations, including the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and UF-FARE.
Dan is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received an undergraduate degree in finance and a master’s in real estate.
