As Senior Managing Director of Tavistock Group, Rasesh Thakkar drives the success of assets across Tavistock’s portfolio of over 200 companies across 13 countries, including the visionary, master-planned communities of Lake Nona and Sunbridge in Central Florida, and the reimagining of the iconic Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.
In his role, Rasesh is responsible for driving the vision behind Tavistock’s diverse development portfolio which includes residential, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure and industrial projects. Complimentary to his responsibilities, his areas of experience range across industries such as life sciences, financial services, real estate, and leisure services as well as corporate finance and structures, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and operations, and executive management.
During his 25+ years with Tavistock, he has lived abroad in Argentina and England on behalf of Tavistock Group business interests in South America and Europe during that time. He’s also known for being one of the main visionaries behind Lake Nona which encompasses clinical, institutional, and laboratory space along with clusters of health and wellbeing, training and human performance, sports, education and retail.
Rasesh serves on a variety of boards for the Orlando Economic Partnership, Tampa Electric Company, and the Orlando Economic Development Commission, and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tavistock Foundation and the Florida Governor’s Council of 100. He has previously served on boards with Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, Central Florida Partnership, and the University of Florida Cancer Center at Orlando Health, among others.
He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.
