Tavistock inks Hawkers Asian eatery for Isleworth-area complex

A new commercial center now rising near the tony Isleworth Golf & Country Club added a new popular downtown Orlando-area street-food restaurant as a tenant.

Tavistock Development Co. LLC on June 13 announced it signed Hawkers Asian Street Fare as a tenant in the fourth parcel of The Grove at Isleworth commercial complex on the southwest corner of South Apopka Vineland and Conroy-Windermere roads. Tavistock’s Ginger Vetter represented the landlord in the lease deal.

The new eatery will take up 4,500 square feet of ground-floor space in a new 31,500-square-foot mixed-use building that also will feature a drive-thru Starbucks on the first level and Regus Group Plc. executive suites on the second level.

This is the fifth Hawkers Asian Street Fare location for the chain, but only the second in Central Florida, which Hawkers co-founder Kaleb Harrell calls “coming back to our hometown.” The original Hawkers is a popular haunt in downtown Orlando’s Mills 50 District.
