UCF wants to invest in its Lake Nona medical developments

Dr. Deborah German sees the partnership potential of the University of Central Florida’s increased presence in Lake Nona’s Medical City life sciences hub.

During Orlando Business Journal‘s Doing Business in Lake Nona event on April 12, the dean of UCF’s College of Medicine said the school wants to collaborate more with partners in creating a local academic health sciences center. That includes the $175 million UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, which is being built in partnership with Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare Inc (NYSE: HCA) and is set to be completed in fall 2020, and the 175,000-square-foot UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center.
