Sunbridge Basecamp opens along with new model homes in Weslyn Park

Tavistock Development Company has opened the temporary welcome center for Sunbridge, known as Basecamp, and opened the first model homes in Weslyn Park that were designed specifically for the master-planned community.

Basecamp, anchored by a pair of yurts, is meant to evoke the overall themes of the 27,000-acre community, emphasizing the natural environment and outdoor lifestyle. It’s located along Cyrils Drive, across from Del Webb at Sunbridge.

“We had a Realtor event out there on Friday, and we had about 300 people,” Vice President of Development Rob Adams said.

The developer has successfully used the centralized welcome center concept at Lake Nona, where it provides information about neighborhoods, builders and amenities in the community. The permanent center for Sunbridge will be constructed later as part of the marina district. The 31-acre Basecamp also will feature an outdoor pavilion and the first 2 miles of what promises to be a robust network of trails winding through the community. Eventually, it will be redeveloped a multifamily community.

Just east of the center, the community’s second residential neighborhood is taking shape. Tavistock previously announced the five builders selected for the first 577 homesites in Weslyn Park. Ashton Woods, Craft Homes, David Weekley Homes, Pulte Homes and Toll Brothers released their initial pricing information and will be starting sales over the next several weeks. Adams predicts the first residents could move in this summer.
